Markel International has appointed Paul Hutchins as a senior underwriter for its warranty and indemnity (W&I) underwriting team, an appointment it said will support its ambition to be a market leader in the class.

Previously, Hutchins worked at ANV Global Services for more than eight years, starting as an M&A underwriter before his promotion to senior M&A underwriter.
