Brit returned to the red with an operating loss of $92.8m in 2022, reflecting the impact of investment losses as its underwriting result remained profitable and the carrier continued to pursue growth.

The loss figure compared with a profit of $247.1mn in 2021.

In its second trading year, algorithm-driven follow syndicate Ki continued to grow, generating a combined ratio of 99.4%
