Severe thunderstorm lowering cloud threatens tornado

Auckland has declared a state of emergency after torrential rain caused widespread flooding and evacuations on the North Island of New Zealand.

According to Bloomberg, the city was hit by nearly a whole summer’s worth of rain in just 15 hours.
