Scor chairman Denis Kessler said the (re)insurer’s board was looking for “fresh strategic impetus, new momentum and new drive” alongside a short-term focus on restoring profit after the surprise replacement of CEO Laurent Rousseau.

It was announced last night that former Swiss Re CUO Thierry Léger would replace Rousseau in May, with current COO François de Varenne taking the role on an interim basis.
