Miller says Cardiff City knew Sala was uninsured in £10mn plane-death dispute

Cardiff City Football Club were aware of terms in their insurance policy that meant Emiliano Sala was uninsured at the time of his death in a 2019 helicopter crash, according to a defence filed in the High Court by Miller.

Sala died in a plane crash several days after he signed for Cardiff City in 2019, but, because he had not been added to the club’s personal accident insurance policy, insurers refused to pay out on the claim.
