South Shore Insurance Underwriters (SSIU) has hired former Canopius deputy head of delegated authority Andrew Fowles as CUO.

The Alabama-based MGU writes commercial and residential property surplus lines and has a broking operation.

Fowles has worked in Lloyd’s of London and the US domestic excess and surplus market for 27 years.
