Insured losses stemming from the recent extreme winter weather in the US may stretch into the single-digit billions, based on initial damage assessments, according to Aon.

The broker said that the full extent of the damage has not yet been fully evaluated, adding that early assessments suggest insured losses could range from the hundreds of millions into single digit billions.
