Axis Capital CEO Albert Benchimol is to retire from the company at the end of 2023, with current specialty insurance and reinsurance CEO Vincent Tizzio named as his successor.

Benchimol is to step down on 4 May next year at the company’s AGM, at which point Tizzio will succeed him.
