Canopius has appointed Direct Line’s James Pearson as UK CFO for its managing agency, after the executive led a finance transformation project in his previous role.

Pearson replaces Gavin Phillips, who had been fulfilling the role on an interim basis and will return to his group CFO responsibilities.
