Convex Re hires Axa XL’s Simons as deputy CEO

Convex Re has hired Axa XL Bermuda reinsurance CEO Paul Simons as deputy CEO and promoted current international property treaty head Richard Slater to CUO.

Slater replaces Ben Savill, who is leaving Bermuda for Australia due to family commitments.

Both will report to group reinsurance CUO Matt Paskin.
