Sompo International reported an adjusted profit of $397mn in the six months to 30 September, up 27%, as top line expanded, and the carrier benefited from rate increases.

Underwriting: The unit reported a combined ratio of 90%, a 2.5-point improvement on the prior-year period, as gross written premium (GWP) expanded.
