Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) profits surged to EUR170mn ($171mn) in the third quarter as it continued to bear the fruits of past remediation efforts.

Profits were up 7% at a group level to EUR3.5bn, as the carrier reported a EUR100mn loss relating to the impact of Hurricane Ian.
