Hannover Re is confident additional spending to secure its 2023 retrocession programme will be outpaced by the price increases it will secure on its inwards reinsurance business, according to management.

In a call to discuss the carrier’s Q3 results today, executive board member Sven Althoff said Hannover Re aims to renew “broadly similar coverage” for 2023 as it did for this year.
