CII hack: Personal data of 20% of customer records accessed

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has confirmed that some personal data including names and dates of birth relating to 20% of its customer records was accessed in a recent hack.

In a statement, the CII said the names, or names of firms, as well as postal and email addresses, plus telephone numbers and dates of birth, were accessed in the IT security incident, but no financial information was obtained.
