UK, US officials hold talks to improve cross-border access to reinsurance

UK Treasury and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) officials have held talks with their US counterparts to nail down improvements around access to reinsurance between both countries.

UK representatives met with the US Department of the Treasury, the Office of the US Trade Representative, and a US state insurance commissioner to progress a commitment between the two countries to improve their prudential regulatory frameworks on (re)insurance.
