RenRe estimates net negative impact of $650mn from cat losses in Q3 2022

RenaissanceRe has anticipated that its cat losses will have a net negative impact of roughly $650mn on the carrier’s third quarter results, out of which $540mn is attributable to Hurricane Ian.

The Bermudian said it expects to report an operating loss attributable to common shareholders for both Q3 2022 and the first nine months of the year.
