Zurich’s David Martin is set to replace Gareth Hemming as managing director of Aviva’s UKGI distribution and SME, a role to which he’ll bring more than three decades’ experience in underwriting.

Hemming has “decided to pursue new opportunities outside of Aviva”, according to a statement from the insurer.
