Ian, after being downgraded to a tropical storm and leaving a trail of destruction across much of Florida, is expected to become a hurricane again as it approaches the coast of South Carolina.

Tropical Storm Ian is expected to turn towards the north later today and make landfall as a hurricane on Friday, before rapidly weakening, according to the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
