UK government PI scheme for high-rise assessors goes live

The UK government, together with Scor, Aon and Acrisure subsidiary MGAM, have launched a professional indemnity (PI) scheme for external wall systems assessors.

The scheme will make available coverage for ‘EWS1’ assessors for mid- and high-rise buildings, the private market for which dried up in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017.
