Scor CEO Laurent Rousseau has cast the business as a “risk taker” rather than a “risk trader” and a driving force in reinsurance market hardening, a year after enacting major portfolio remediation at the carrier.

Speaking at a press conference at the Monte Carlo Rendez-Vous, Rousseau, who took over as CEO of Scor in June 2021, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to reinsurance and particularly to cat business.
