The global reinsurance market is currently not attracting new capital, including the ILS sector, which is “unlikely” to expand, said Carlos Wong-Fupuy, a senior director of analytics at AM Best.

“Capital has been increasing but at the same time, we don’t see attraction to new capital,” Wong-Fupuy said during a press conference at the Rendez-Vous de September in Monaco on Sunday.
