Lloyd’s posts 91.4% combined ratio despite £1.1bn Ukraine reserve

Lloyd’s has reported a combined ratio of 91.4% and a £1.2bn underwriting profit for the first half, despite setting aside reserves of £1.1bn for losses related to the Ukraine conflict.

The half-year results, published this morning, show a 0.8-point improvement in the combined ratio from H1 last year and the strongest underwriting result since 2015.
