ICA raises loss estimate for 2021 Victoria floods to A$310mn

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has increased its industry-wide loss estimate for the Victoria floods in June last year to A$310.4mn ($216mn), up from a previous A$292mn estimate in March.

Overall, the ICA said there have been 34,300 claims lodged and 93.4% of those claims are now closed.

Next week, the ICA and insurers will be holding in-person meetings in Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley to help the remaining claimants...
