MS Amlin’s loss for Q1 of its fiscal year increased from £49mn in Q1 2021 to £93mn ($112mn) as group profits at parent MS&AD shrunk 49% to 60bn yen.

The carrier attributed the losses at MS Amlin to the impact of claims relating to Russia and Ukraine as well as a negative investment performance.
