NOAA slightly reduces forecast for 2022 hurricane activity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has slightly reduced the number of storms forecast for this hurricane season in an updated report.

The governmental agency anticipates 14-20 named storms, six to 10 hurricanes and three to five major hurricanes of Category 3 or above between the months of June and November in the Atlantic basin.
