Hiscox foresees “an awful lot of opportunity” at the 1 January reinsurance renewals, and has “the conviction and the capital” to pursue growth, according to CEO Aki Hussain.

The CEO said in an interview with Insurance Insider that the environment has become “much more interesting” in the reinsurance space, after the carrier upped its GWP in the Re & ILS division by 37% to $822.7mn
