Blockchain insurance industry initiative B3i has confirmed that it has filed for insolvency, marking the end of a venture that once set out to establish blockchain as a major platform to exchange (re)insurance contracts.

B3i confirmed on its website that it has ceased activities and filed for insolvency in the Swiss courts, following “unsuccessful funding rounds.”
