In response to Demotech's warning of downgrades for roughly 17 homeowners' carriers, Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Floir) Commissioner David Altmaier has sent Demotech president Joe Petrelli a letter criticizing the ratings agency's rating methods and inquiring for more information.
