Liiba calls for regulators to track competitive actions in government reforms

The London & International Insurance Brokers’ Association (Liiba) has welcomed UK government plans for a new bill governing financial services regulation, but called for inclusion of requirements for regulator actions to be tracked by metrics.

The trade association said that other international insurance centres were “snapping at [the] heels” of the London market and that doing business in the UK was “increasingly seen as having a greater burden of regulatory costs”.
