Insurers receive over 12,000 NSW storm-related claims

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has revealed that insurers have received 12,221 claims related to the recent flooding in New South Wales (NSW) since 1 July.

The estimated insurance loss for the flooding currently sits at around A$142mn ($96mn).

Of the claims received, 83% are for property, 15% motor and 2% commercial.
