AM Best upgrades Aviva after balance-sheet strengthening

AM Best has upgraded the financial strength rating of Aviva to A+ and the long-term issuer credit rating to aa- to represent a strengthening of the carrier’s balance sheet position.

The ratings agency said the rating reflected the “very strong” balance sheet of the carrier, alongside its strong operating performance, favourable business profile and “appropriate” enterprise risk management.
