AO World’s shares fall as Atradius pulls credit cover for suppliers

Online electrical-goods retailer AO World’s shares have fallen 14% since Friday amid worries over its financial strength after it emerged a credit insurer cut cover for the firm’s suppliers to reflect post-Covid-19 sales.

The Sunday Times originally reported that credit insurer Atradius cut its credit cover for the online retailer's suppliers.

AO World announced last month it would shut its business in Germany, as its prospects in the country were deteriorating.
