Severe thunderstorm lowering cloud threatens tornado

Economic losses from severe convective storms (SCS) in the US reached $17bn by mid-June, according to Aon research.

In its latest weekly cat report, the intermediary noted that, in each of the past 15 years, SCS economic losses have surpassed the $20bn mark.
