Demotech: All Floridians have first-event cat cover in place

With the 1 June renewal deadline come and gone, about 10 of 40 carriers that Demotech rates have not yet fully placed their reinsurance programmes, although all have first-event cover in place, the ratings agency said on Friday.

Demotech president Joe Petrelli said the company has affirmed with 30 carriers that their programmes are complete, but about 10 are still in the process of putting their programmes together.
