Global (re)insurers cut 2 points from combined ratio in Q1: Gallagher Re

Global (re)insurers shaved 2 points off their average combined ratio which hit 94% in an “exceptionally strong” Q1 for underwriting, Gallagher Re said in its report, Global (Re)insurers’ Q1 2022 Financial Results.

The performance was helped in part by favourable pricing on commercial lines and reinsurance which contributed to 11% average property and casualty premium growth.
