Russia is preparing to implement a law that would grant it the power to take control of the local businesses of Western companies that decide to leave the country in the wake of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, according to Reuters.

Russia’s new laws against Western firms could be in place within weeks, giving it sweeping powers to intervene where it believes there is a threat to local jobs or industry.
