Eiopa under fire for ‘overly prescriptive’ sustainability proposals

Insurance Europe has called for a re-evaluation of proposed suitability assessments from the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (Eiopa), which it dubbed “overly granular and prescriptive”.

The federation said that the regulatory authority’s proposed measures should be made “as simple and accessible as possible” and avoid “detailed requirements that benefit neither insurers nor customers”.
