Rate rises for D&O business placed in the UK slowed by more than 150 points throughout the course of 2021, as existing markets and new carriers vied to secure business priced higher than at any point since the last pricing peak in 2002, according to a report from Marsh.

The broker’s D&O pricing index reported that rate rises in the first quarter of 2021 came in at 170.5%,
