Allianz sets aside $2bn for Structured Alpha fund probe

Allianz has set aside another EUR1.9bn ($2bn) for the investigation being conducted by the US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission over the carrier’s Structured Alpha funds.

The company had already set aside EUR3.7bn to cover litigation costs and potential fines.

The provision will negatively impact its Q1 group net income by EUR1.6bn
