Axa XL promotes Baker to lead construction in Lloyd’s

Axa XL has promoted Al Baker to head of construction for UK and Lloyd’s, having served in the position on an interim basis since September last year.

Baker has a background in engineering, joining Carillion as an engineer in 2002 before joining an Axa subsidiary in 2010 as a risk consultant, moving to Axa XL in 2019 and achieving several promotions.
