Ark posts 100% combined ratio in Q1 as GWP surges 56%

Ark has reported a combined ratio of 100% in the first quarter, down nine points on the prior-year period, and boosted gross written premiums by 56% to $633mn.

The Lloyd’s carrier reported a net loss of $23mn in the first quarter, down from a figure of $33mn a year ago.
