Hiscox to return to growth in London market after 3% Q1 contraction: Breeze

Hiscox expects its London Market business segment to return to growth following a 3% GWP contraction in the first quarter, when the carrier continued to shed under-priced nat-cat business and binder exposure, according to interim CFO Liz Breeze.

She said the premium contraction reflected “material cutting” of cat exposure but added that there was still “good opportunity” for the London Market segment to expand.
