Adani Australia CEO calls for support as insurers crack down on coal

CEO of coal company Adani Australia, Lucas Dow, has asked for more support from the Australian government for a coal sector he believes is being shunned by banks and insurers as society shifts away from fossil fuels, according to Bloomberg.

Australian lawmakers must safeguard the coal industry by “ensuring coal communities can access reasonably priced finance and insurance services”, Dow said on Thursday according to a text of a Sydney speech.
