Allianz pledges to stop investing in and insuring oil and gas fields by 2023

Allianz has announced it is accelerating its climate strategy by pledging to stop investing in new oil and gas risks by January 2023 and not renew contracts for existing projects as of 1 July 2023.

As part of the pledge, Allianz will no longer invest in or underwrite new single-site or standalone oil and selected gas risks, oil and gas risks in the Arctic and Antarctic or extra-heavy oil and ultra-deep sea.
