A group of rebels led by Generali’s second-largest investor Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone has lost its bid to oust the Italian carrier’s current board and CEO Philippe Donnet.

Generali’s list of board nominees received 56.8% of the votes at the AGM held this morning, while the rebels received 42.2%
