Lancashire estimates $20mn-$30mn Ukraine losses as Q1 GWP climbs 34.7%

Lancashire Holdings has estimated its ultimate net losses incurred due to the Ukraine conflict are in the range of $20mn-$30m, as the carrier grew its Q1 gross written premium (GWP) by 34.7% to $447.9mn.

As at 10:20 London time, Lancashire shares had risen by nearly 13%.

GWP: Growth was driven by the P&C reinsurance segment, which increased GWP by 39.1%
