Lloyd’s driving ‘hard bargain’ but hopes to stay at Lime Street: Carnegie-Brown

Lloyd’s would like to remain in occupation of its iconic One Lime Street headquarters until at least 2031 but is looking to “drive a hard bargain” with its landlords over its lease, according to chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown.

Carnegie-Brown told Bloomberg TV in an interview that there was a break in Lloyd’s lease in 2026, which would be too soon to move out, so the focus was on the next break in the contract in 2031.
