ABI backs government’s British energy security strategy

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has said it supports the government’s plans to strengthen energy independence as set out in the British energy security strategy that was published today.

As part of the strategy the government has said it wants to accelerate the use of nuclear energy, with an ambition of up to 24GW by 2050 to come from nuclear.
