Argo Syndicate 1200 swings to £20.3mn profit for 2021

Argo Syndicate 1200 has reported a 2021 profit of £20.3mn ($26.6mn), in stark contrast to 2020’s £53.9mn loss, as its combined ratio improved by 21.6 points to 94.4%.

The syndicate has undertaken remedial work in recent years to improve its profitability.

In 2021, it increased gross written premium (GWP) by 15.7%
