Excess restructures will lead to savings for large cargo accounts: Gallagher

Restructures to excess layers and re-layering of programmes will leave cargo insurance buyers better off in 2022, although insurers are expected to hold firm on primary pricing, according to Gallagher.

The broker said in an update on the cargo market that new entrants to the class had made it impossible for incumbent carriers to sustain the substantial rate increases of the past two years.
